Haq Hai is a grassroots citizens’ collective from Mira Road–Bhayandar, Mumbai, fighting for justice, equality, and dignity. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every person deserves education, healthcare, and a voice in society.
“Whose right is it? — Yours!”
Founded during the anti-CAA protests of 2019, our collective has grown into a movement that not only defends constitutional rights but actively creates a positive impact in our community. We have:
- Organized peaceful protests against hate campaigns and discriminatory policies.
- Launched creative campaigns like #GetWellSoonGeetaJain to counter hate speech with humor and community engagement.
- Advocated for students facing unjust school fees and ensured their continued access to education.
- Assisted patients during the COVID-19 crisis with access to oxygen, medicines, and emergency services.
- Provided rations, masks, and relief to the most vulnerable families in Mira Road–Bhayandar.
- Supported local hawkers and workers in defending their livelihoods against unfair practices.
Through these efforts, Haq Hai has become a resilient voice in the community, demonstrating that citizen-led action can create meaningful change while upholding constitutional values.
